About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare the division’s operational budget in partnership with the Director of Finance and Leadership Team
  • Review supporting presentations from selling business units and department heads for consistent data and alignment with corporate strategy
  • Work with operational leaders to establish budgets, revise forecasts, and explain actual results versus plan for balance sheet and cash flow metrics
  • Prepare revised quarterly budgets as the fiscal year progresses
  • Prepare weekly company forecasts with cross-functional team members and explain variances from prior expectations
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for the Director of Finance and Leadership Team
  • Prepare reports forecasting the division’s income, expenses, earnings, business activity, and financial position
  • Participate in annual and long-range planning
  • Perform budgeting and forecasting
  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics and scoreboards
  • Perform significant data extraction, ad-hoc reporting, and project-based analysis
  • Act as a proactive business partner by advising and making recommendations based on financial projections and historical performance
  • Complete related accounting functions and monitor financial processes and performance
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 0-2 years’ experience in finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent experience
  • Highly analytical with strong root-cause analysis abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional computer skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and SQL or similar
  • Expertise in building and analyzing financial models
  • Strong general ledger accounting experience and monthly closings
  • Proficiency with reviewing account reconciliations and performing account analysis
  • Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data
  • Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information
  • Ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems
  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with diverse business partners
  • Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
