About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive profitable sales growth while managing margin, inventory, supplier performance, and customer needs
- Build and manage a competitive national product offering using market insights, customer feedback, and data
- Identify and prioritize business opportunities through Voice of Customer and market share analysis
- Develop business cases for new products, including product positioning and pricing strategies
- Manage product life cycles by establishing short- and long-range product visions
- Partner with Regional Parts Managers and sales leadership to identify and capture growth opportunities
- Evaluate and escalate project and product risks to the supervisor and senior management
- Monitor competitive activities and products and provide ongoing product and service gap analysis
- Lead supplier business reviews covering sales, profitability, inventory, service levels, rebates, pricing, and growth opportunities
- Establish price-to-market through margin analysis and competitive positioning
- Provide internal and external sales support regarding product benefits and features, including product and dealer meetings
- Perform additional projects and duties supporting ongoing business needs
- Report to the Director of Business Development – Aftermarket Parts
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in product management, distribution, sales, or a related field preferred
- HVAC Aftermarket or distribution experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree; preference for sciences
- MBA a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Effective verbal, written, and public speaking communication skills
- Ability to develop presentations, written memos, and product training materials
- Good judgment and decision-making skills to lead multifunctional new product programs to market
- Ability to apply business and financial methods
- Ability to build relationships with and influence stakeholders
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Intermediate knowledge of HVAC technology and components
- Knowledge of durable goods manufacturing processes
- Quality problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis
- Ability to apply Voice of Customer to the product cycle
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC technology, aftermarket part components, and the industry
- Good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity
- Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
- Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future
- Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
- Willingness to travel periodically for supplier meetings and customer visits
