Key responsibilities & impact

Shape and advance adoption of data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation capabilities across OPT
Serve as a strategic advisor and technical leader to senior stakeholders
Define priorities, identify opportunities, and enable solutions supporting business transformation, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making
Lead OPT’s AI and analytics strategy
Serve as functional lead for AI, automation, and analytics within OPT
Influence technology direction and mentor and develop organizational capability
Deploy AI and automation strategies aligned with OPT’s long-term strategy
Collaborate with IT and the Data Intelligence Hub to ensure infrastructure readiness and enterprise architecture alignment
Serve as technical lead for Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Snowflake Cortex, and other approved enterprise AI tools
Identify opportunities to use AI, machine learning, analytics, automation, and business intelligence to improve productivity, efficiency, and decision-making
Translate business needs into practical technology solutions
Lead and grow team expertise in AI and data analytics tools
Establish scalable data solutions that improve data quality, accessibility, and business value
Facilitate forums, events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Promote collaboration and shared best practices across departments
Evangelize data, analytics, and AI through storytelling, training, and executive engagement
Establish and communicate standards for self-service analytics, tool usage, data quality, and solution lifecycle management
Guide departments on governance frameworks and ethical AI practices
Partner with the CDO and Legal & Compliance on responsible data use and policy adherence
Integrate AI capabilities into existing technology ecosystems with technical and business stakeholders
Monitor emerging trends in data science, AI, automation, cloud technologies, and data platforms
Lead experimentation with advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI/ML use cases
Evaluate emerging technologies and guide investment decisions
Manage project scope, priorities, dependencies, risks, stakeholder communications, and delivery milestones
Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle from concept through implementation and operational support

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, ethical data use, and enterprise data architecture
Proven experience in problem solving and continuous improvement
Proven experience leading data analytics
Strong understanding of self-service analytics platforms, such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Power Platform, and Snowflake
Understanding of data governance principles
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to translate technical concepts into business value
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build trust, connect people, and inspire action across all levels of the organization
Attached resume required
Demonstrated ability to coach and upskill others in data literacy, visualization, automation, data engineering, business intelligence, and AI/ML
Experience with strategic planning, portfolio management, and cross-functional program delivery
Experience advising management and external stakeholders on broad-ranging projects
PM certification or previous experience leading cross-functional projects
Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where the position is located at the time of application

Successful completion of a criminal background check required
May be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
