About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide dealers with aftermarket parts management support in parts sales, customer service, and business performance
- Assist dealers in implementing programs and growing parts sales
- Work closely with DPMs in abutting regions to support dealer groups with APAs crossing regional boundaries
- Improve dealer-level parts department operational performance
- Initiate methods to change dealer behavior and meet national aftermarket parts performance standards
- Conduct operations audits and recommend corrective actions based on formal analysis
- Build relationships with Dealer Principals and Parts Managers to improve acceptance of corporate programs and performance standards
- Provide headquarters staff with field intelligence on program effectiveness, training requirements, market trends, end-customer behavior, and competitive activities
- Advise dealer personnel on marketing and financial goals; recommend changes to facilities, personnel, and business planning
- Conduct financial analysis and recommend improvements in pricing, cost control, and absorption
- Assist with annual parts business plan development
- Promote and assist dealer parts sales efforts; develop sales and merchandising programs
- Provide market analysis to support aftermarket parts marketing plans
- Monitor performance and modify departmental efforts as required
- Call on end customers with dealer sales/service personnel and analyze customer needs
- Analyze dealer systems requests and questions and initiate appropriate regional or headquarters action
- Analyze dealer requests for technical/managerial training and support headquarters training programs
- Deliver personalized, on-site training as required
- Serve as technical consultant for company and dealer systems activities
- Provide training and liaison between headquarters IT staff and dealer personnel
- Collaborate with corporate office on dealer/distributor communication, ease of doing business, and selling-tool effectiveness projects
- Deploy current DTNA sales programs
- Manage an average $100 million territory with approximately 21 district locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of prior work experience related to sales
- Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
- Ability to work at all levels of the organization and with cross-functional areas
- Ability to work and prioritize tasks independently
- Working knowledge of DTNA's Paragon parts system
- Strong sales track record and product sales background
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application
- Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
- Relocation assistance is not available
