About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the data analytics go-to resource for the New Truck Planning & Reporting group, supporting planning, forecasting and reporting processes as well as cross-functional projects
Design, build and maintain Snowflake data models providing a reliable single source of truth for New Truck financial data
Develop and maintain Power BI and Tableau dashboards for Finance leadership visibility into financial performance
Identify process optimization opportunities and lead automation initiatives using BI and AI tools
Own the full P&L consolidation for Detroit Diesel Corporation, including planning, forecasting and reporting cycles
Partner with DDC, Accounting and other Controlling departments to gather inputs, validate results and explain variances to plan and forecast
Improve and automate the DDC consolidation process to shorten cycle times and strengthen data integrity
Prepare executive-level reports and financial analysis for Finance leadership
Lead Continuous Improvement activities and cross-functional projects
Manage urgent ad-hoc requests from different departments for financial and data analysis supporting executive decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of related experience OR Master’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience
Ability to conduct complex financial and data analysis and translate findings into clear and concise insights tailored for executive and cross-functional audiences
Critical thinking and problem solving to interpret, challenge and connect financial data to business strategy, delivering actionable recommendations
Sense of urgency with proven ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic atmosphere with a Continuous Improvement mindset
Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL, including building queries and data models from large datasets
Knowledge and experience with CBFC
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience building dashboards in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen

Exceptional candidates might have a degree focus in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field
Exceptional candidates might have knowledge and experience with SAP-HANA, IMS and Alteryx
Exceptional candidates might have experience applying AI tools or scripting languages such as Python to automate financial processes
Exceptional candidates might have exposure to P&L consolidation or legal entity reporting
