About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, manage and develop assigned teams
  • Manage Bankruptcy and Loss Recovery, working with Attorneys and Agencies to maximize post-charge-off and repossession collections
  • Attend court occasionally
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Ensure proper analysis and controls to manage risk and expenses and improve Recovery and Bankruptcy performance and efficiencies
  • Monitor call quality for US and Mexico High Risk accounts
  • Identify and communicate training gaps and provide positive improvement feedback
  • Create coaching plans supporting the call model
  • Provide structured and timely employee feedback
  • Identify employee development opportunities and create/administer development plans
  • Maintain awareness of leadership techniques and solicit feedback from a leadership coach
  • Identify process changes to improve cost efficiency, minimize loss exposure, and increase customer service quality
  • Collaborate with Collections management to assess and implement process improvements
  • Manage strategic direction with Agency, Attorney, and SKIP Vendors with the Vendor Relations Manager
  • Review business processes for efficiencies, cost savings, and customer-oriented approaches
  • Partner with customer care, operations, business centers, and Mexico
  • Share best practices and benchmarking opportunities
  • Conduct regular call calibrations with US and Mexico teams
  • Approve repossession and charge-off decisions based on LOA
  • Review accounts for proper documentation and quality of work
  • Provide agents feedback on opportunities and recognition

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree
  • Typically requires 2-4 years of relevant experience with degree or 6 years in lieu of degree
  • BS/BA and preferably 2-4 years of relevant experience or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years of overall work experience in commercial finance
  • 2 years of experience in collections
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mainframe systems
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
  • Ability to understand call center and delinquency metrics
  • Understanding of Bankruptcy and recovery process
  • Structured call model training through any collection standardized practices
  • Ability to work in or relocate to Charlotte, NC US
  • Legally authorized to work permanently in the country of posting
  • Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
