About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support new products and industrialization projects by developing engineered labor standards for complex manufacturing processes
  • Work with project teams implementing new projects and provide labor estimates from design concepts through production startup
  • Review new design concepts and recommend changes to optimize installation labor and ergonomics
  • Use LEAN methods to plan new processes and work cells and optimize existing operations
  • Maintain and update labor standards
  • Perform time and motion studies on complex tasks using standard Industrial Engineering methods
  • Assist in developing strategies, standards, guidelines, and procedures for labor standards
  • Provide engineering and economic analysis for facilities, workflows, methods, and processes
  • Participate in capacity planning, new equipment cost justification, and make-buy studies
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing and warehouse layouts for product introductions, capacity expansion, and continuous improvement
  • Apply industrial engineering techniques to product and process design throughout the product life cycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Process or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical education from an accredited university/college OR 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Detail oriented, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing, lean, process optimization methods and quality
  • Able to interpret engineering diagrams and develop labor estimates and/or standards based on design specifications and existing manufacturing processes
  • Strong cross functional communication and collaboration skills
  • Well organized and able to handle multiple, detailed tasks and work professionally with various levels of DTNA management
  • Advanced English speaking, reading, and writing required
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application
  • Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
