About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Transaction Council team in executing pricing proposals for DTNA’s largest and most complex customer transactions
  • Work directly with Sales and Finance executives to develop pricing and contribution margin strategies
  • Present aligned proposals weekly to the Transaction Council
  • Provide visibility into top-level business decision-making
  • Execute customer transaction pricing approvals accurately and in compliance with policy
  • Resolve ambiguous approval guidance and collaborate with leadership on policy interpretation or escalation
  • Support price walks, specification additions, and pricing logic for complex fleet accounts
  • Attend Transaction Council meetings, document approval decisions, and communicate outcomes to Sales and downstream execution teams
  • Provide invoicing and controlling support, including order alerts, truck invoice adjustments, reserve analysis, and audit issue resolution
  • Own serial management activities, including serial moves, reallocations, and corrections
  • Execute serial moves while validating pricing accuracy, concession placement, and system integrity
  • Own and maintain customer concessions, including stock truck, rollover, and deal-specific incentives
  • Audit concession accuracy and timeliness against current-year strategy and approved transaction terms
  • Govern pricing protection codes through a centralized SharePoint workflow
  • Manage daily new-truck price quote requests from the dealer network for assigned top fleet customers
  • Partner with Field Sales and National Account Executives to develop strategic pricing proposals
  • Coordinate with Controlling, DTR, FSG, Retail Pricing, and Daimler Truck Financial Services
  • Document pricing proposals for Transaction Council approval or Sales Proposal Workflow routing
  • Align proposals with the Director of New Truck Pricing and Sales leadership
  • Record Transaction Council approval decisions and communicate outcomes to Field Sales

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with 4+ years of experience in pricing, costing, proposal development, project management, financial or business analysis, OR Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, prioritize effectively, solve problems, manage complexity and ambiguity, and independently meet proposal deadlines
  • Advanced analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities
  • An attached resume is required
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application
  • Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
