About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support quality engineers in analyzing production data, investigating defects, and driving improvements
- Analyze warranty, defect, and manufacturing data to identify trends and root causes
- Support investigations into nonconformances and production defects
- Participate in root cause analysis using 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Pareto Analysis
- Develop and update work instructions, control plans, and PFMEAs
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain on corrective and preventive actions
- Assist with internal audits and compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards
- Support continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects and improving process capability
- Compile reports and present findings to quality and plant leadership
- Participate in shop floor activities to understand production processes and quality checkpoints
- Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) from an accredited college/university, or recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/June)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret data and identify trends using Excel or similar tools
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application
- Not open to Visa sponsorship or existing Visa holders
- Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
