About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Account for spare parts inventories, including inventory valuation, obsolescence, cores analysis, incidental acquisition costs, and travel and expense global pay processes
  • Assist with the period-end general ledger closing process
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare monthly trend reports
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to Accounting management, Aftermarket, and Manufacturing Controlling groups
  • Prepare and execute financial reporting tasks and month-end close activities associated with parts distribution centers’ inventory processes
  • Support outsourced transactional accounting
  • Perform core analysis and monthly trend reporting
  • Prepare monthly inventory valuation calculations over spare parts
  • Calculate incidental acquisition cost and relief factors for spare parts and manufacturing materials
  • Assist the MIF consolidation team in compiling financial information
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations, post journal entries, and perform financial analysis
  • Monitor and resolve material transfers aging, in-transits, and interface errors
  • Support critical manufacturing inventory accounting procedures as inventory accountant back-up
  • Support Travel with reconciliations and payment interface troubleshooting and provide occasional backup for Travel Expense Management
  • Research accounting issues and collaborate with aftermarket controlling and business partners
  • Document processes and policies and assist with process and system improvements
  • Use advanced analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and WinShuttle
  • Communicate financial results and KPIs to management with recommendations for improvement or risk reduction
  • Support reporting, inventory aging, group elimination requirements, accounting management, and external audit issues
  • Work cross-functionally to implement processes, monitor project progress, and support organizational or system changes
  • Support and grow an inclusive and professional culture for all team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field; OR an Associate’s Degree with 2 years of related experience OR 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, audit, manufacturing accounting, inventory accounting, cost accounting, financial reporting, or a related accounting function
  • Experience supporting month-end close, including account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Experience using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, or similar tools for data analysis and reporting
  • Working knowledge of SAP demonstrated through professional experience
  • An attached resume is required
  • Advanced Excel skills - visual basic, pivot tables, data transformation, graph and charts, power query
  • MBA, Certification in Accounting – Internal Audit or CPA
  • CPA Candidate
  • Wholesale Parts Business Exposure
  • Experience using analytical tools, such as advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, WinShuttle, Alteryx, SQL Query (Alation) to drive business outcomes
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve productivity, efficiency, or business outcomes
