About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage supplier schedules and ensure purchased components are available in required quantities and at required times
- Analyze and adjust ERP parameters based on production needs, customer demand, lead time, and other factors
- Execute and maintain EDI and manual scheduling processes
- Verify schedule requirements are accurate, timely, and clearly communicated
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and material availability
- Identify shortages, late deliveries, and other operational risks
- Coordinate material flow for the Consolidation Center, parts distribution, and internal Machining departments
- Manage the domestic/international supply base for relevant aggregates
- Balance component availability with inventory-value objectives and premium-freight targets
- Escalate risks and trade-offs as appropriate
- Control on-hand inventory for multiple assembly plants in the US and Mexico
- Assemble and analyze supply chain data to evaluate performance, identify trends, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and implement short-term containment actions and longer-term solutions
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery issues and communicate priorities
- Maintain documentation of supply issues, decisions, recovery plans, and follow-up actions
- Analyze material flow processes using lean/six sigma concepts
- Support continuous improvement of scheduling, inventory, delivery, and issue-resolution processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business, or a related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience, required
- Working knowledge of supply chain planning, material scheduling, inventory management, and supplier delivery concepts
- Ability to use analytical and quantitative methods to interpret data, assess performance, and support sound decisions
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root-cause identification and development of short-term and long-term actions
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate effectively across suppliers and internal teams
- Ability to prioritize multiple requirements and exercise judgment within established procedures
- Ability to respond effectively to changing conditions
- Attached resume required
- One to two years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, material scheduling, logistics, procurement, manufacturing, or a related environment may be advantageous
- Experience supporting supplier performance, component availability, production operations, or distribution activities may be advantageous
- Experience with EDI-enabled and manual scheduling processes may be advantageous
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application
- Not open to visa sponsorship or existing visa holders
- Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
