About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the ATG group in the area of Autonomous Feature Implementation Team at DTNA
  • Support vehicle EE Architecture activities for the Autonomous Technology group
  • Support component owners for ECU Extracts and architecture-related activities for autonomous vehicles
  • Coordinate ECU Extract (VMM – Vehicle Message Matrix) activities with component owners and Vehicle Networking Group
  • Work with the Global Vehicle Networking Team to implement change requests in the Daimler Tool Chain
  • Drive quality improvement of ECU Extracts and features through mechatronics processes
  • Provide problem-solving and training support to the department and involved teams
  • Monitor and address ongoing production issues related to AOR with corrective actions
  • Analyze reliability and quality issues and develop solutions for field issues
  • Provide technical support and training to ATG Engineering
  • Provide mentorship and cross-training to the ATG department
  • Participate in agile team meetings and use tools such as Jira and Confluence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Requires a Bachelors Degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in job field and working knowledge of related disciplines
  • Uses analytical thought to independently solve complex problems with minimal guidance and identify solutions
  • May lead team or department projects or work streams within broader projects
  • Acts as an advisor to management and key external stakeholders on job field related projects
  • Acts as a resource and guide for colleagues with less experience
  • Uses experience to contribute to standards in which others will operate
  • Strong communication skills with analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with CAN communication protocols and tools
  • Experience with in Vehicle Networking
  • Well organized, able to handle multiple detailed tasks and work professionally with various levels of DTNA management
  • Experience with vehicle ECU or feature troubleshooting
  • Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change
  • Strong proficiency in DTNA systems
  • Experience with AUTOSAR, OSEK and Vehicle networking tools
  • Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application
  • Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
