About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work directly with the CEO and executive leadership team on strategic priorities, special projects, and day-to-day strategic activities
  • Support development and execution of corporate and business unit strategies
  • Conduct market, competitive, customer, and industry research to identify risks, opportunities, and emerging trends
  • Evaluate strategic initiatives through quantitative and qualitative analysis and develop recommendations
  • Develop business cases, financial models, investment analyses, sensitivity analyses, and scenario plans
  • Analyze business performance, operational metrics, and financial results to support strategic recommendations and executive decision-making
  • Help prioritize and track strategic initiatives, executive action items, measurable outcomes, and follow-through
  • Prepare for executive meetings, business reviews, customer engagements, and strategic discussions through research and analysis
  • Develop executive presentations, Board of Directors materials, strategic review documents, executive summaries, recommendations, and briefing materials
  • Translate complex analyses into concise, compelling, visually effective communications
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of relevant business experience required
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of business fundamentals and financial concepts, including income statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and structured-thinking skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills
  • Ability to create executive-level presentations, business summaries, and clear recommendations
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional partners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work through ambiguity, and maintain high attention to detail
  • Professional maturity, sound judgment, discretion, and accountability when handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy; requirement verified through an MVR check
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Strategy, Management, Business Analytics, or a related field (desired)
  • Experience in consulting, corporate strategy, finance, business analysis, or market research (desired)

  • Experience participating in university consulting programs, case competitions, internships, or client-based business projects (desired)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, technology, industrial markets, or public company environments (desired)
