About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with customers to grow, develop, and cultivate relationships
- Articulate customers’ current and future needs as the “voice of the customer” for the South Central Territory (MS/LA/OK/AR)
- Provide product, warranty, and applications training in support of sales objectives
- Develop and maintain technical competency for Dana products
- Maintain current knowledge of competitor activities and market changes
- Develop sales strategies and objectives to achieve assigned KPI goals
- Make product presentations to purchasing, engineering, and other customer representatives
- Respond to customers’ day-to-day requests
- Provide customer forecast data
- Partner with Dana product, pricing, engineering, marketing, finance, and training teams to achieve growth objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or Related Field preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in Commercial Vehicle and/or Light Vehicle Aftermarket preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
- Ability to work non-traditional business hours
- Driveshaft and axle product knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work successfully in a matrix environment
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Strong customer service while executing multiple project priorities
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Proficient technical skills in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM systems
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to work with people in pressure situations
- Strong commercial and business acumen
