About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support installation, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on Leica Biosystems instruments
  • Help ensure optimal instrument performance and customer uptime
  • Deliver a high-quality customer experience through effective communication and timely follow-up
  • Adhere to Leica Biosystems quality and compliance standards
  • Partner with Field Service Engineers, technical support, applications, and commercial teams to resolve technical issues
  • Support reliable diagnostic workflows
  • Work remotely within the assigned territory as part of the Field Service Team
  • Report to the Regional Field Service Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 0-1 years of experience in a technical field
  • Foundational mechanical, electrical, electronic, laboratory, biomedical, or instrumentation troubleshooting capability
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams while learning to operate independently in a field-based service environment
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms
  • Up to 90% flying and/or driving travel, including overnight stays
