About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop knowledge and skills to support the maintenance, installation, and repair of SCIEX products at customer sites
- Perform preventative maintenance and triage repair on selected products
- Independently perform installation/repair calls
- Learn and develop knowledge of SCIEX products and technical skills necessary to perform high-quality maintenance and triage repair on instruments
- Work under close supervision and mentoring by a manager, regional specialist, and Senior Engineers within the territory
- Cover the Duesseldorf, Cologne area remotely
- Travel for customer visits and/or training
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed technical vocational training, ideally with further training as a state-certified technician, or a degree in electrical engineering, medical technology, chemistry or physics
- Experience in operating and maintaining scientific instruments in a laboratory or healthcare setting within a chemistry, biology or life science setting
- Fluency in German & English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel for multiple days at a time for Customer visits and/or training
- Driver´s License is required
- Field service activities experience is a plus
- Mass spectrometry, chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, or similar technology or basic knowledge is a plus
- MS Office, i.e. Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience is a plus
