About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Educate customers on standard Automation & Digital platform offerings
- Support commercial sales teams in translating customer needs into Automation & Digital product offerings and custom projects
- Bridge customers and engineering teams across time zones and apply appropriate solutions to customer requirements
- Develop cost, scope, and schedule estimates for automation solutions with hardware teams, Product Management, and other stakeholders
- Own, maintain, and continuously improve automation cost-estimation tools for the Cytiva BioProcess product portfolio
- Provide customer feedback to Product Management and support opportunities involving Cytiva’s Intelligent Equipment portfolio
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or electrical engineering, or related field
- Multiple years of experience working in automation/controls engineering
- Experience with automation platforms such as Rockwell, Emerson, Siemens, AVEVA PI or AVEVA System Platform
- Experience with automation protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and OPC DA/UA
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers
- Ability to travel – 10%
- Previous electrical design work, networking and cybersecurity, and Life Science industry experience are a plus
