About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the strategic deployment of Lean principles across the organization to drive operational excellence, enhance productivity, and foster continuous improvement
  • Develop and execute Lean transformation initiatives
  • Coach leadership and frontline teams
  • Ensure alignment with business goals
  • Leverage data-driven methodologies and cross-functional collaboration to enable sustainable improvements across KPI metrics
  • Plan, execute, and sustain Kaizens, projects, and action plans to improve plant KPIs
  • Utilize a dynamic funnel process tied to Policy Deployment and Daily Management opportunities
  • Lead and facilitate root cause analysis using the DIVE/DMAIC process
  • Develop team members’ DIVE/DMAIC and DBS tool skillsets
  • Pursue certification in DBS tools and lead associate development in DBS tools and Kaizen
  • Immerse in critical plant areas to drive improved performance
  • Manage strategic projects from conception through sustainment and facilitate action-plan execution
  • Serve as a member of the site’s Operations Leadership team
  • Report to the Plant Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering required
  • Prefer 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, manufacturing planning/scheduling, and lean manufacturing concepts
  • Ability to assess key business metrics and operational situations from a general manager’s point of view
  • Strong ability to work with and influence all levels of the organization, including senior leaders, functional leaders, project managers, and practitioners across functions
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Independent worker able to operate in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment and effectively manage difficult situations
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience is a plus
  • Mastery of a variety of DBS or continuous improvement tools is a plus
