About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement a sales plan to achieve established sales and financial goals
  • Call on prospective and current company customers
  • Involve technical personnel to resolve customer issues and problems as needed
  • Participate in establishing sales targets and designing the territory sales plan
  • Control sales expenses
  • Sell cytometry hardware to assigned quotas
  • Sell consumables to assigned quotas
  • Manage assigned territory accounts
  • Identify new and competitive business opportunities
  • Work with accounts to develop programs that expand and increase company influence and presence
  • Report to the Regional Sales Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must live in Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina
  • Bachelor’s degree in Scientific field with 5+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree in a scientific field with 1-2 years’ experience
  • Practical experience and knowledge of flow cytometry equipment
  • Highly motivated and success driven
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent time and territory management habits
  • Ability to travel 70%, including overnight travel, within territory or locations
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb
  • Solid understanding of tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers) strongly preferred
  • Experience with CRM, preferably SFDC, and Microsoft Office programs
