About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide complete, accurate, and timely financial information to support management decision-making.
  • Maintain accounting records and research and analyze account reconciliations and individual transactions.
  • Support controls and procedures in accordance with GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
  • Prepare general ledger entries and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile the general ledger to sub-ledgers and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Perform month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, financial statement variance analysis, and standard and non-recurring journal entries in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Research and interpret financial data to respond to management inquiries and support timely, accurate reporting.
  • Document accounting procedures, recommend stronger controls and efficiencies, and maintain knowledge of relevant accounting practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a D365 and SAP ERP user and resource.
  • Informally coach staff accountants and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Prefer five years of professional accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with PC software programs and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines while working collaboratively.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, such as D365 or SAP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
