About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and deliver LC/MS product demonstrations, proteomics workflows, training, and ongoing application support
- Partner with sales and business teams to identify opportunities, align application strategies, and influence customer decisions
- Design and implement end-to-end proteomics workflows, including sample preparation, analytical methods, and data processing approaches
- Contribute to the definition, testing, and application of new hardware and software solutions across nominal and accurate mass LC-MS technologies
- Build a strong presence in the proteomics community and represent SCIEX at conferences
- Support pre-sales visits and presentations with customers
- Collaborate with sales, service, and product teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Exceptional presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills
- BS with 10+ years, MS with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of experience in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences with focus on mass spectrometric analysis
- Demonstrated experience in proteomics workflows (required), with broader exposure to metabolomics, lipidomics, and/or pharma applications including sample preparation, method development, and data analysis
- Strong hands-on experience with LC/MS quantitative and qualitative workflows using accurate mass instrumentation
- Proven ability to operate effectively in customer-facing environments and influence technical and business stakeholders
- Up to 50% travel within North America
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
