About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead deployment and integration of the Danaher Business System across the site
  • Align DBS activities, daily management, Bowler execution, and continuous improvement initiatives with business plans, strategic priorities, and customer requirements
  • Develop the Kaizen funnel with leadership
  • Lead workshops and Kaizen events for construction, new factory start-up, product lines, and product relocations
  • Apply Lean tools to compress schedules, eliminate waste, improve process capability, and reduce variation
  • Institutionalize Lean methodology and a culture of continuous improvement through data-based decision-making, structured problem-solving, and Kaizen principles
  • Develop, maintain, and drive the site Certified Practitioner funnel
  • Support Certified Practitioner candidates through the process
  • Lead and support fact-based problem-solving sessions using DBS tools
  • Follow up long term to ensure results are sustained
  • Provide facilitative leadership for process improvements that improve productivity and delivery
  • Oversee Lean transformation within a plant under construction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering Discipline (Mechanical, Science, Technology, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering)
  • 7+ years’ previous experience in a related manufacturing setting
  • Proven strong ability to work with associates at all levels using a hands-on approach at GEMBA
  • Track record facilitating, coordinating, coaching, and mentoring lean workshop/kaizen events
  • Strong capability to lead organizational change through Lean thinking and Lean-based management systems
  • Effective oral, written, and executive-level presentation skills
  • Ability to independently drive results through analytical problem-solving, effective change management, and sound financial decision-making
  • Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, batch chemical, or petrochemical experience is a plus
  • Change-agent credibility and influence
  • A3 thinking deployment and experience
  • Ability to use a computer, including MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and other job-related software for 8 hours a day
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including walking, bending, stooping, carrying materials up to 25 lbs, occasional stairs and ladder use
  • Ability to wear required PPE and use hearing protection in designated areas
