About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Make a high volume of outbound calls to customers regarding outstanding balances and payment commitments.
  • Conduct collection activities and negotiate payment arrangements in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Use active listening and problem-solving skills to understand customer concerns and determine next steps.
  • Review payment details, account information, and customer inquiries using ERP and CRM systems.
  • Document customer interactions, payment commitments, required follow-ups, and relevant information.
  • Complete required follow-ups regarding payment arrangements, customer commitments, and unresolved issues.
  • Escalate complex concerns, disputed information, or situations outside established guidelines to the appropriate contact.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Protect customer and company information by complying with confidentiality requirements and applicable policies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fluency in both spoken and written French and English is required to communicate effectively with contacts across multiple Canadian provinces, including Quebec, as well as the United States.
  • Experience in high-volume accounts receivable collections, telemarketing, or a comparable role involving outbound calls.
  • Excellent active listening, problem-solving, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Energetic, resilient, and able to remain professional under pressure.
  • Motivated to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Receptive to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in processes, priorities, and systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including strong attention to detail and accurate note-taking.
  • Asset: Previous experience in a fast-paced, performance-metrics-driven call centre.
