About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide customer service via phone, remote, and on-site technical support
  • Travel to dental offices in the assigned Charlotte-area region
  • Build client relationships and help identify technical solutions
  • Guide clients through diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve errors
  • Communicate with vendors regarding service requests and open tickets
  • Respond to and document support requests using established methods
  • Perform maintenance on end-user devices
  • Provide user training and self-fix solutions
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and configure PCs, printers, peripherals, and network equipment
  • Handle password resets, drive mapping, and user account setup
  • Run network lines, punch down cable, and terminate RJ45 connections
  • Provide Saturday coverage through an on-call rotation
  • Perform Tier 1 troubleshooting, configuration, and administration for client systems and software

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proven time management skills
  • Proven reliability and ability to work independently
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • 1-2 years of tech support experience
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Candidates should reside in the Charlotte area
  • Ability to provide Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm coverage and rotating Saturday coverage
  • Tier 1 troubleshooting, configuration, and administration experience with printers, wireless networks, server-based print queues, antivirus and firewall programs, Microsoft Windows 7 and newer, Microsoft Office 2010 and newer, Microsoft Office 365, and Apple OS
