About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the CRM build for a high-growth consumer technology client
  • Architect and implement flows, automations, segmentation logic, and campaigns
  • Build lead capture, welcome, first-conversion, subscription activation, loyalty, repeat-purchase, and win-back programs
  • Build and QA flows, automations, and campaigns from lead capture through win-back
  • Implement audience logic and dynamic content for personalization at scale
  • Own the technical setup and health of the client's ESP, including integrations, data feeds, event tracking, templates, and modules
  • Monitor channel performance and deliverability, escalating and fixing issues proactively
  • Troubleshoot misfiring flows, under-populated segments, rendering issues, and delivery problems
  • QA logic, rendering, links, personalization, and suppression before launch
  • Design and run the testing roadmap with the Associate Director and report results
  • Partner with the Copy & Content Specialist to implement copy and creative accurately and on schedule
  • Build and maintain reporting for client KPI reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on lifecycle, CRM, or email marketing execution
  • Deep expertise in at least one enterprise-grade ESP: Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, Customer.io, or comparable
  • Experience building complex, event-triggered journeys from scratch with multi-branch logic, wait steps, conditional splits, holdouts, and cross-channel orchestration across email, SMS, push, and in-app
  • Advanced behavioral and product-event-based segmentation, computed attributes, dynamic content, and personalization
  • Experience building lead capture forms and opt-in logic, welcome series, first-conversion sequences, and subscription activation journeys
  • Experience implementing loyalty, rewards, and win-back programs
  • Hands-on ownership of deliverability, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI, sending reputation, list hygiene, and sunset policies
  • Ability to own and diagnose channel KPIs including open, click, click-to-open, conversion, deliverability, bounce, spam complaints, and unsubscribe rates
  • HTML and CSS for email
  • Liquid, Handlebars, AMPscript, or similar templating language is a strong plus
  • Understanding of API-based events, webhooks, ETL or CDP integrations, and product event streams
  • Systematic troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Experience designing and executing A/B and multivariate tests with statistical significance analysis
  • Excellent written communication and ability to explain technical problems to non-technical audiences
  • Clear, fluent English communication with U.S.-based clients and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work non-negotiable hours of 9 am–5 pm EST
  • Must be permanently based in an eligible location; primary location New York, with secondary locations Florida, New Jersey, and Texas
