About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure finished goods are available in market warehouses to meet customer service levels while balancing inventory cash and product freshness
- Convert agreed demand forecasts into production, procurement and inventory plans
- Support Activity Management Review and reflect promotional, trade and NPD activity in planning
- Forward-plan packaging updates and redesigns with Brand and Product teams
- Set and review Target Minimum Stock Levels with the Logistics Manager
- Manage stock allocation across 3PLs and warehouses, including export and international markets, through DRP
- Balance production plans across OTIF, cost and obsolescence
- Generate and own the 12-month rolling production plan and internal file
- Sign off production reconciliation and ensure stock management tool accuracy
- Optimise the operations planning cycle and develop KPIs
- Conduct scenario planning for supply-side risks and uncertainties with the Demand Planning Manager
- Escalate capacity, material, or lead-time constraints through the monthly S&OP cycle
- Manage DASH’s liquid ingredients, packaging, and finished goods inventory
- Manage outsourced co-pack operations from ideation to fulfilment
- Own the Wonky Fruit contract process before harvest, working with the Demand Planner on forecasts
- Manage the back-office team to align material delivery schedules with production
- Develop and report inventory KPIs, including stock cover and write-off/obsolescence percentage
- Lead weekly coordination calls with the co-manufacturer and serve as first escalation point
- Report COGS and production KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement of processes
- Collaborate with finance, production, and logistics teams on supply chain objectives
- Support Product Manager with production and material-readiness timelines for NPD launches
- Handle assigned B Corp questions and other management-assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience within food and beverage FMCG production and supply planning.
- Experience of raw material and co-manufacturing forecasting and procurement
- Experience managing 3PL/logistics providers and distribution requirements planning (DRP) across multiple warehouses.
- Highly numerate and proficient in using excel to manage forecasting, planning, inventory and reporting
- Copes effectively with change, making informed decisions on the information available, and comfortable handling the attendant risk and uncertainty
- Understands the whole supply chain and the effect their decisions will have on inventory and financial metrics. Can effectively benchmark against competitors and peers picking up on and implementing best practice from elsewhere
- Comfortable managing conflicting interests, negotiating and working with internal and external stakeholders to identify options and then implement the best overall solution
- Understands what information people require, providing accurate clear and timely reports to meet the agreed expectations of all stakeholders
- Experience of working with stock and accounting systems (Unleashed and Xero preferred)
- Interest in sustainability within FMCG and an ability to evaluate the environmental impact of decisions made in the context of DASH’s supply chain
- Experience managing or developing junior planning/support staff.
