About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the global accounts receivable month-end close cycle
Prepare subledger-to-GL reconciliations, roll-forward schedules, unbilled revenue, deferred revenue adjustments, contra-AR, close accruals, and AR management reporting
Own AFDA and CECL accounting models, assess assumptions and portfolio trends, prepare provision recommendations, and process approved write-offs
Lead AI and automation adoption across AR accounting workflows using Databricks, LLMs, and advanced analytics
Maintain AR subledger integrity, perform flux analyses and variance explanations, and provide management insights
Maintain audit-ready workpapers and documentation and serve as primary contact for internal and external auditors
Partner with Billing Operations, Cash Applications, Revenue Assurance, Revenue Accounting, Corporate Accounting, and FP&A
Partner with Transformation, Engineering, and IT teams on workflow redesign, process standardization, automation, testing, and SAP implementation data readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of progressive AR and GL accounting experience in a mid-to-large organization
Demonstrated ownership of month-end close, AFDA/CECL, subledger-to-GL reconciliations, and AR management reporting
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA strongly preferred
Strong U.S. GAAP judgment and ability to research, document, and defend accounting conclusions
Ability to operate independently with high autonomy and produce reviewer-ready workpapers
Hands-on ERP experience with SAP, NetSuite, or similar
Prior acquisition accounting workstream experience is a strong plus
Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving integration environments
Advanced Excel proficiency, including Power Query and dynamic arrays
Hands-on experience deploying or evaluating AI tools in a finance context
Familiarity with data platforms such as Databricks is a strong plus
High-growth technology or SaaS industry experience strongly preferred
Exposure to recurring or usage-based billing models is an advantage
Public accounting background preferred
High ownership, detail orientation, direct communication, calm under pressure, open-mindedness, and change orientation
