About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead complex programmes from inception through delivery
- Own scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations
- Deliver exceptional customer outcomes and value
- Oversee project governance and delivery operations across complex, multi-platform IT environments
- Lead project design, planning, and scheduling for applications and infrastructure projects
- Define, source, and manage project resources
- Prepare and monitor budgets, secure approvals, and track financial performance and benefit realization
- Identify and control risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes
- Manage change plans and assess business impacts
- Build stakeholder relationships and manage vendor contracts and agreements
- Oversee business continuity planning, including development, review, testing, and training
- Ensure health and safety compliance with company policy
- Manage project teams and provide guidance
- Oversee software development phases from requirements analysis through implementation
- Take on varied roles within Datacom as required to meet business needs and broaden business understanding
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience managing programmes in a customer environment
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk frameworks is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to deliver technology and business transformation initiatives in complex political environments
- Experience managing large, complex programmes in consulting or customer environments
- Experience spanning multiple workstreams and platforms is ideally required
- Ability to build, lead, and inspire collaborative programme teams
- Broad and deep understanding of technical software development, implementation programmes, and interrelated technology dependencies
- Experience managing AI-related programmes is advantageous
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and pivot in emerging technology areas
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and tailor messaging for executives, technical teams, and business leaders
- Strong financial governance capabilities, including managing programme budgets, tracking benefits realisation, and understanding cost, utilisation, and revenue impacts
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple mid to large-sized projects
