About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide Configuration Management support for Service Configuration Managers
- Act as subject matter support for Service Configuration Management customers
- Execute delivery of customers’ Configuration Management services
- Manage customer relationships as part of the team governing CMDB accuracy
- Contribute to managed services contract outcomes
- Contribute to Service Improvement for the Configuration Management Service
- Support delivery of an accurate CMDB
- Transition new customers to the Configuration Management Service
- Ensure Configuration Management plans, processes, and procedures are followed, documented, implemented, and communicated
- Govern and validate updates to Configuration Items within the CMDB
- Check for changes requiring updates, update and create desktop assets, and action asset update requests in the CMDB
- Contribute to accurate customer reporting
- Escalate and highlight CMDB exceptions
- Provide customer service according to Datacom’s Configuration Management service delivery methodology and processes
- Interpret Data Inventory technology outputs and provide analysis and reporting
- Liaise with service management and customer teams to define and execute Configuration Management standards, processes, procedures, plans, and controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in a similar Service Configuration Analyst role
- Experience working with customers
- Experience working collaboratively with Service Configuration Managers, Service Operations team members, Service Delivery Managers, and Technical teams
- Experience using ITSM technologies, particularly Jira and ServiceNow
- Ability to interpret data outputs from Data Inventory technologies
- Ability to analyse and report accurately
- Ability to define and execute Service Configuration Management standards, processes, procedures, plans, and controls
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Strong interest in learning and contributing to a larger team
