About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Continuously maintain and further develop customers’ server infrastructures
- Ensure stable IT operations and high system availability
- Install, configure, and administer server environments in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and AD-based services such as DNS and DHCP
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor backup, restore, and recovery processes
- Resolve disruptions in IT operations
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Continuously optimize operational processes
- Plan and support migrations and release upgrades
- Collaborate with specialists in adjacent departments and with external service providers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (all genders), IT Systems Electronics Technician (all genders), or a comparable qualification in the field of IT
- Very good knowledge of server installation and operations
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Exchange, and virtualization layers
- In-depth knowledge of Citrix technologies: Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Workspace, StoreFront, Director, Studio, Citrix Gateway (NetScaler), and Citrix ADC
- Knowledge of related technologies such as Provisioning Services (PVS), Machine Creation Services (MCS), Profile Management, Workspace Environment Management (WEM), and Citrix Licensing
- Knowledge of software packaging and scripting (VBS, PowerShell) is desirable
- Willingness to continue developing through training and technologically challenging projects
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Very good written and spoken German, as well as good written and spoken English
