About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner directly with defense and security customers to understand situational awareness and force protection problems
Scope solutions against customers' highest-priority problems
Design, build, and deploy solutions on Palantir Foundry
Build data pipelines, ontology models, operator-facing applications, and custom widgets
Integrate Dataminr's real-time intelligence into customer workflows, common operating pictures, and command-and-control tooling
Own solutions end to end and make independent technical decisions
Debug infrastructure, networking, and application layers across cloud, hybrid, restricted, disconnected, and on-premises environments
Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer engineers and operators
Channel customer feedback back into the Dataminr product
Travel to customer sites and operations centers as needed, approximately 25–75% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems in a team setting
Hands-on Palantir Foundry expertise: pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, and app development
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript/JavaScript, Bash, or Go
Comfort with containers, orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift), Linux, and on-prem infrastructure
Active U.S. security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one required
Top Secret clearance preferred
Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences
Willingness to travel 50–75% to secure customer sites
Experience in classified, air-gapped, or disconnected environments
Background in defense, intelligence, or national security operations
Familiarity with geospatial tools (Esri/ArcGIS) or command-and-control systems
Front-end experience building operator-facing applications
