About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define, implement, and maintain information security policies
Operate risk assessments and internal security control activities
Track and monitor remediation actions
Support compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and other relevant frameworks
Contribute to the annual SOC 2 audit, including evidence collection and auditor communication
Deliver employee security training and awareness initiatives
Support client requests related to security topics
Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and reporting
Act as first responder for internal information security requests and escalate where necessary
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve secure development processes
Work closely with all departments and other Security team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–5 years of experience in information security
Demonstrated ownership of SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance frameworks and associated audits
Working knowledge of information security and compliance frameworks, including SOC reports, ISO 27000 series, and COBIT
Knowledge of IT and cloud security audits
Understanding of identity and access management, network and cloud security, and secure development practices
Practical experience with vendor risk assessments and third-party due diligence
Practical experience with information security control and testing processes
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to have: familiarity with EU security regulations such as the EU AI Act and Cybersecurity Act
Nice to have: relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, or Azure security certifications
Nice to have: experience with Vanta
Must be located in the Netherlands
Must be comfortable commuting to the Amsterdam office at least 3 days per week
