About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Visit provider offices to scan or upload assigned medical record charts using various EMR systems
- Use Datavant-provided laptop and equipment for chart retrieval
- Work an average of 20–28 hours per week with a fluctuating schedule
- Professionally engage with healthcare providers while retrieving medical records
- Maintain communication with the remote team and provide daily progress, challenge, and completion updates
- Manage weekly schedules, confirm and track appointments, and arrive prepared and on time
- Confirm correct charts in the designated platform and mark charts as retrieved
- Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
- Work independently to meet chart retrieval accuracy and efficiency goals
- Log work hours daily in the time-management system
- Log mileage and reimbursements daily in the expense-reporting system
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow company policies
- Cross-train in multiple departments and provide support as needed
- Assist with additional duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must live within the Miami metro area
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Availability between 8:00am–5:00pm at least three consecutive days per week
- Availability Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm in your time zone
- Must have a reliable, insured personal vehicle
- Must be able to drive and have a valid driver's license in good standing
- Must have reliable internet service and a phone capable of communicating with remote supervisors
- Basic computer skills, including scanning documents, saving and renaming files, creating folders, and uploading to secure servers
- Proven punctuality, reliability, quality work, and ability to follow directions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot and overcome technical issues
- High dependability, punctuality, and clear communication with supervisors and the Regional Team
- Business casual attire and a high level of professionalism required
- Access to a high-speed internet connection
- Positive attitude and desire to learn through training
- Ability to roll and lift a 45-pound equipment case or maneuver a 25-pound soft case
- Must comply with HIPAA requirements and the Company's Code of Conduct and policies
