About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process medical record requests by taking calls from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys to provide medical status
- Document information in multiple platforms using two computer monitors
- Enter accurate data as assigned by the team lead
- Process electronic medical records remotely through various EMR systems
- Work with minimum supervision while responding to changing priorities and role needs
- Report technical difficulties promptly
- Meet required CPH (Charts Per Hour) and attendance metrics
- Participate in assigned training
- Maintain confidentiality, safeguard patients’ rights, and comply with company, facility, and HIPAA policies
- Read documentation and follow written instructions to ensure compliance and accurate job completion
- Report security breaches, unsafe behavior, or site difficulties to appropriate leadership
- Support a quality-focused service environment
- Meet deadlines and respond to emails and information requests timely
- Adhere to company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Six months plus Data Entry Experience
- EMR experience A+
- Experience in a healthcare environment or release of information setting is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to address problems constructively to find acceptable solutions
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
- Computer skills including Windows based applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent detail-orientation and accuracy with high volume environment
- Adaptable to changing business environment
- Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse group of individuals and collaboratively in a matrixed, cross-departmental remote environment
- Must be able to work Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
