About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with employees and management to communicate Human Resources policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations
  • Provide management guidance on performance issues, corrective action plans, and involuntary terminations
  • Respond to general employee relations issues
  • Create and/or facilitate training events for management and associates
  • Assist with job descriptions and perform compensation analysis
  • Assist with EEOC/DOL claims and other claims filed against the company
  • Assist with OSHA/Safety initiatives and manage safety programs for assigned regions
  • Work with management on promotions and staff changes, ensuring documentation and payroll-system processing
  • Oversee employee headcount of 500+ people
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-4 years experience in Human Resources Management
  • 1+ years experience with employee relations
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to the Human Resources field
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word & Excel
  • Compensation and job description experience, a plus
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to produce accurate and timely work
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven success working under minimal supervision
  • Experience with Oracle HRIS system, a plus
  • Ability to work in the United States
  • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship
  • Travel requirements up to 15%
