About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead client experience strategy and team performance across the full account portfolio
  • Own strategic direction, financial performance, and long-term retention of client relationships
  • Build and scale talent, governance, and processes for the Client Success organization
  • Partner with executive stakeholders up to the C-suite to translate market, regulatory, and competitive insight into strategy
  • Align client roadmaps with Datavant corporate and Business Unit priorities
  • Guide prioritization of high-impact initiatives balancing financial performance, operational feasibility, and client value
  • Drive business process improvements using process engineering, AI, Business Intelligence, and Third-Party Organization partnerships
  • Lead, coach, and develop CSMs, Senior CSMs, and Managers
  • Build talent strategies, succession plans, and performance standards
  • Own executive relationships and oversee implementations, renewals, growth, and escalations
  • Apply healthcare, risk adjustment, and retrieval expertise to identify expansion opportunities
  • Manage the full account portfolio to achieve revenue, retention, and growth goals
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Operations, and Technology leadership
  • Establish governance models and scalable frameworks across the Business Unit
  • Resolve systemic barriers and high-impact issues
  • Set KPIs and use analytics and financial insights to optimize outcomes
  • Deliver executive-ready presentations and translate complex metrics into narratives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in client success, account management, or strategic consulting within healthcare, health insurance, or healthcare data/technology
  • 5+ years of people leadership managing managers or multi-level teams
  • Deep expertise in Risk Adjustment and Retrieval processes, SLA frameworks, and the Payer/Provider/Vendor ecosystem
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements
  • Experience managing C-suite relationships within large, complex enterprise accounts
  • Proven track record owning revenue, retention, and growth targets for a multi-million-dollar portfolio
  • Experience building and scaling talent strategies, succession plans, and performance standards across multi-level teams
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Advanced proficiency with data/BI tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL
  • Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and executive communication skills
  • Ability to lead through organizational change, ambiguity, and competing priorities
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced degree a plus
