About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the designated HR Business Partner for the retail population of the Central US
  • Plan and implement People & Culture policies, programs, and practices for the Retail Division
  • Support talent development, mitigate employee relations issues, enhance employee experience, and support recruitment as the regional HR point of contact
  • Work proactively with Retail management to minimize employee relations issues
  • Conduct investigations or interventions and administer disciplinary actions
  • Partner with senior management and legal on cases and recommend action plans
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and employment-related legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements
  • Lead the Annual Review process and improve employee performance
  • Support promotions, career path mapping, succession planning, and learning and development initiatives
  • Source, interview, and assess retail talent, including pipelining for new stores and key roles
  • Coach managers on hiring best practices
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze retention and turnover data
  • Support onboarding and offboarding with payroll, benefits, IT, L&D, and loss prevention
  • Partner with Compensation, Benefits, Finance, and Retail Operations on packages, headcount planning, and employee programs
  • Maintain Workday and optimize the retail employee experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of hands-on HR experience, preferably independently managing a population
  • Knowledge of fundamental HR practices, including employee relations, talent development, performance management, recruitment, compensation and benefits, and employment law
  • Familiarity with Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, and digital learning platforms
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, often with limited advance notice
  • Must currently live within close proximity to Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Troy, Edina, Columbus, Indianapolis, Austin, Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio, or be willing to relocate immediately
