About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform comprehensive research, analysis, and documentation of potential conflicts of interest for new business intake
  • Perform conflict-of-interest searches on incoming lateral attorneys
  • Provide detailed analysis of potential conflicts to Conflicts Attorneys
  • Communicate with firm attorneys to determine current or former client status and update records
  • Review client and matter name changes for potential conflicts
  • Enter conflict information into conflict records as requested
  • Enter and update conflict database records for conflict notices, newly hired attorneys, fiduciary relationships, and other information
  • Run project-driven searches, including mergers, RFP requests, onboarding portable clients, and high-volume party searches
  • Respond to administrative intake questions for the Conflicts Department
  • Work with Business Intake, Accounting, and other departments to streamline, audit, or finalize opening or reopening matters
  • Audit conflicts-check submittals
  • Produce, review, and circulate daily reports regarding conflicts checks and new matters
  • Assist with special projects, tasks, and IntApp CBI support
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Adhere to schedules for breaks, lunches, and meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years prior experience as a conflicts analyst, preferably at a large law firm
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including accurate grammar and spelling
  • Attention to detail, analysis, and organizational skills
  • Strong database search skills, including development of search logic and strategies
  • Ability to accurately type 35–40 wpm
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
  • Microsoft Office experience required
  • IntApp products experience preferred
  • Willingness to learn new technology, software programs, and upgrades
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, handle stressful situations professionally, multitask, and follow up timely
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to understand and follow work instructions with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attendance and timely arrival
