Senior Client Relationship Specialist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate content creation for monthly, quarterly, and annual client team meetings
- Highlight milestones, successes, improved efficiencies, pro bono projects, and strategic goals
- Gather information from attorneys, practice groups, and business professionals to support client initiatives
- Support relationship teams in identifying client service opportunities and responding to client requests
- Support internal processes related to alternative fee arrangement negotiation
- Build direct relationships with clients’ legal business and operations teams
- Coordinate client events, CLEs, and client engagement activities
- Participate in strategic business development planning, consultation, and execution
- Support lawyers and business development teams in identifying and responding to new-work opportunities
- Coordinate client engagement and business development events, including invite lists, marketing, vendors, and execution
- Assist with client scorecards and performance metrics
- Monitor and help ensure compliance with reporting requirements and outside counsel guidelines
- Distribute client-related information, updates, and action items across client teams
- Support service innovation with legal teams, legal project teams, and staff departments
- Assist with client satisfaction surveys, interviews, and feedback collection
- Share best practices, cross-selling opportunities, and business development opportunities across the firm
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years’ experience in a law firm environment or similar professional services industry
- Client management, operations management, and business development experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- JD, Master’s degree in Professional Studies, Business Administration, or relevant advanced degree a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of the business of law, including alternative fee arrangements in the service industry
- Understanding of law firm pricing models and economics a plus
- Experience presenting to small groups and decision-makers
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and guide decision-makers on strategic decisions
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and firm leadership
- Proficiency with legal technology tools such as matter management, document automation, and/or document review software preferred
- High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneNote
- Ability to read and write in English
