About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and enhance the professional growth and career development of the firm's attorneys
  • Work within training, performance management, career development, or integration initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address development needs across attorney levels and practice groups
  • Oversee the DWT Mentoring program and Attorney Parental Leave Transition program
  • Coordinate tracking of new hires and mentor pairings
  • Communicate with firm leaders and attorneys regarding mentor pairings
  • Maintain the mentor tracking program and current mentor-pairing lists
  • Update tip sheets and materials for attorney integration and mentorship
  • Oversee Path to Partnership+ meetings, including communication, scheduling, and preparation of meeting materials
  • Review and approve reimbursement requests for the mentorship budget
  • Support and coordinate the annual partnership admission process and bi-annual counsel elevation process
  • Prepare materials for annual pipeline and strategic workflow meetings
  • Comply with DWT policies and align work with firm goals and strategic plan
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with attorneys and business professionals
  • Coordinate and improve relevant workflows
  • Deliver high-quality work independently and collaboratively
  • Perform additional tasks as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in attorney professional development or training, ideally within an AmLaw 100 or large professional services firm
  • Strong understanding of law firm environments and the career progression of attorneys
  • Excellent program and project management skills, including ability to manage competing priorities
  • Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning/tracking platforms
  • Client-focused mindset with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
