About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather, manage and understand data
  • Identify problem components and apply statistical analysis, forecasting and mathematical modeling to create actionable conclusions
  • Define analysis goals and coordinate appropriate database data collection
  • Understand and assess business situations from an information perspective
  • Collaborate with sales team members to analyze data and implications
  • Design sales reporting tools, automate reporting, and build new metrics and dashboards
  • Assemble and distribute operational reports and performance metrics
  • Interpret reports and help managers understand underlying data
  • Maintain and audit critical sales data through appropriate IT systems and departments
  • Serve as the internal end-user point of contact for ad hoc information requests
  • Support implementation of new processes and workflows
  • Maintain reporting standards across the sales operations team
  • Participate in technical and strategic projects, communicate progress, coordinate resources, and resolve hurdles
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities, strategic initiatives, and new capabilities with management and sales staff
  • Outline options and recommended actions and support implementation
  • Share expertise and consult on interdepartmental projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical/analytical role, or an advanced degree with 1-3 years of experience
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Works with sense of urgency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Effective in communicating technical concepts
  • Strong intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, VBA)
  • Proficient in statistical/analytical software and programming languages for automation (90% R, 10% Python)
  • Proficient in data-access languages (SQL, SOQL)
  • Proficient in OBIEE data and reporting platform
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or Google Analytics platforms is a plus
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening before beginning work
  • Travel as necessary, less than 10%
