About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and execute seasonal and annual business strategies for the Department Store channel
- Set sales targets and develop growth plans
- Analyze sales, margin, inventory productivity, sell-in, sell-through, and marketplace trends
- Identify risks and opportunities
- Deliver business reviews and strategic presentations to internal leadership and external partners
- Develop and maintain relationships with key buying, planning, and merchandising partners
- Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to accounts
- Advocate for HOKA’s brand objectives
- Develop forecasts, budgets, assortment plans, and inventory strategies using retail math and analytical skills
- Use data to make informed business decisions and provide actionable recommendations
- Partner with go-to-market, merchandising, planning, marketing, operations, finance, and customer service teams
- Drive sustainable and profitable growth within the Department Store channel
- Manage investment strategies and pursue innovative opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of experience
- 5+ years of wholesale or buying experience within a regionally based role and/or Key Accounts
- Strong understanding of the Department Store business and broader retail marketplace
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Proven ability to lead strategic account relationships and influence key decision makers
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and advanced understanding of retail math and key performance metrics
- Ability to build forecasts, budgets, and business plans utilizing Excel and other analytical tools
- Self-motivated, highly accountable, and driven to consistently exceed goals
- Collaborative team player with a track record of building strong cross-functional partnerships
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance growth opportunities and profitability
- High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex business environments
- Innovative thinker who challenges the status quo and identifies opportunities beyond the obvious
- Department Store experience preferred
