About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and refine UI across Playground and Console experiences from a defined problem and general solution direction
  • Support senior designers on feature work, taking assigned pieces end to end with minimal guidance once the approach is set
  • Pick up design work wherever capacity is needed across product surfaces
  • Apply the Cosmos design system consistently and exercise judgment on edge cases
  • Document the rationale behind design decisions for the team and engineering
  • Give regular updates, present rationale in critique, and provide peer feedback
  • Use AI and design tooling in daily work and share learnings with the team
  • Report directly to the Director of Product Design

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong UI craft, with a portfolio showing clear visual and interaction judgment
  • Experience taking feature-level work end to end, from direction through production handoff
  • Fluency working inside a design system, with judgment to know when a pattern does not fit
  • Clear written communication, including the reasoning behind decisions
  • Comfort with technical or abstract product surfaces
  • AI tools already part of daily practice
  • Experience designing for developers or technical users, including APIs, SDKs, documentation, or console workflows
  • Exposure to B2B SaaS with self-serve and enterprise motions
  • Prototyping skills beyond static screens
  • Experience contributing to a design system
  • Curiosity about voice, audio, or real-time products
  • Must be located in the United States
  • Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area or a location in the Pacific Time Zone
