About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define Deepgram’s AI applications product line and build it into a profitable business
- Own product strategy, including target users, product portfolio, positioning, and competitive advantage
- Defend product strategy to executives and maintain direction during development
- Own the roadmap, shipping priorities, sequencing, and tradeoffs
- Build acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization with metrics and targets
- Represent the product with partners and customers and own delivery commitments
- Run the product operating rhythm through hypotheses, shipped changes, measurement, and subsequent bets
- Partner with research, engineering, design, and marketing on models, product development, launches, and user needs
- Prototype using mockups, wireframes, and working products
- Report to the VP of Self-Serve
Requirements
What you’ll need- Shipped a consumer or prosumer application that people chose and paid for; this is required
- Personally built and shipped AI into end-user applications; deep AI fluency is required
- Excellent product management judgment, including product and roadmap ownership, decision-making under uncertainty, shipping outcomes, and cross-functional leadership
- Zero-to-one product definition experience, taking a product from idea to first version adopted by real users
- Technical depth in models, latency, privacy, and platform tradeoffs; ability to read code and prototype
- Design sense; ability to build simple, effective interfaces and communicate through mockups and prototypes
- Ability to evaluate whether metrics are real or measurement artifacts
- Clear executive communication
- Genuine AI-native working style and comfort experimenting with advanced AI tools
- Experience building native desktop or mobile applications is desirable
- Experience shipping through distribution partners is desirable
- Experience with voice, audio, or real-time systems is desirable
- Experience in a company with both self-serve and enterprise motions is desirable
