About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own features that drive enterprise API adoption, including usage insights, cost and consumption controls, and governance tooling
Design governance and compliance controls including roles, permissions, projects, data residency, and auditability
Own services end-to-end, including participation in the API on-call rotation
Implement contract testing, monitoring, and SLOs to prevent breaking changes and security vulnerabilities
Work toward four-nines reliability for the public API
Navigate dependencies across technical and organizational structures
Collaborate with stakeholder teams to ship cohesive enterprise capabilities
Contribute across the stack to deliver frictionless experiences for external developers and internal engineering teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep expertise designing scalable backend systems, RESTful APIs, and distributed architectures, primarily in C# / .NET
Experience with high-scale distributed systems in production
Strong API design and system design fundamentals
Hands-on experience with MCP, CLIs, and OAuth
Track record of leading projects across multiple teams
Experience managing cross-team contracts and dependencies
End-to-end ownership of production operations, incident response, and on-call
Experience writing comprehensive tests, monitoring, and SLOs
Experience using AI-powered tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot
Frontend experience with React/TypeScript is a plus, not a requirement
Bonus: zero-downtime migrations on live systems
Bonus: experience with metering, quota, or usage-data systems
Bonus: experience in compliance environments such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or C5
