About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospect and procure new brand clients aligned with Deeplocal’s strategic growth objectives
  • Identify potential customers, understand their business needs, and articulate how Deeplocal can address them
  • Learn and communicate Deeplocal’s capabilities, process, positioning, and brand representation
  • Analyze market conditions, identify target customer segments, and develop plans to reach and convert prospects
  • Present Deeplocal’s offering and collaborate with stakeholders to win new work
  • Manage communication and relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Brainstorm potential projects with existing clients and strengthen relationships
  • Develop business briefs and lead conversations to understand client goals and challenges
  • Review pitch decks and budgets, support creative and technical leads, and contribute to final copy
  • Procure and oversee RFPs for timely delivery
  • Maintain and track sales leads in Deeplocal’s CRM
  • Provide weekly reporting and conduct post-mortem analyses of closed deals
  • Maintain and edit business development materials, including capabilities decks, case studies, and creative assets
  • Report to Deeplocal’s Managing Director and collaborate with the Director of Technical Strategy and creative team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a relevant field, and/or 2-4 years working in a related role, ideally client-facing, preferably in experiential, interactive marketing
  • Technically minded, able to understand complex concepts and explain them to others with varying levels of technical proficiency
  • Aptitude to lead and project manage new business pitches
  • Highly organized with exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional writing (short- and long-form) and storytelling skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to work extended hours and on weekends when necessary
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (G Suite), email marketing platforms (Mailchimp or similar), and CRMs (Hubspot, Sugar, etc)
  • Must be willing to travel to Pittsburgh and/or client locations as required for training and business development efforts
  • Nice-to-haves: a network of client-side contacts; knowledge of emerging cultural trends and technologies; passion for brand thinking, creativity, and the experiential industry
