About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own product requirements from initial concept through review, refinement, stakeholder alignment, and final approval
- Define acceptance criteria and related product artifacts
- Ensure product intent, constraints, edge cases, dependencies, and success criteria are clear before work advances
- Maintain a clean, structured, and prioritized backlog aligned with product direction
- Translate customer and internal feedback into actionable product work
- Identify feedback patterns that inform roadmap direction
- Partner with Engineering to evaluate implementation approaches and tradeoffs
- Lead planning and product-development flow from idea to production
- Continuously improve how product work moves through delivery
- Review, challenge, edit, align, finalize, and approve requirements, including AI-generated or Engineering-created drafts
- Collaborate with the Co-Founder & CPO, Director of Engineering, design lead, and senior engineers
- Use AI across research, requirements development, prototyping, technical analysis, implementation, testing, and review
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of product or technical product management experience
- Ideally full-time experience on a live B2B software product
- Preferably experience in a security or technically oriented environment
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Strong experience developing, reviewing, and finalizing product requirements and specifications in a production software environment
- Ability to engage with technical documentation, system designs, and implementation tradeoffs
- Ability to work closely with engineers to challenge and clarify requirements
- Ability to turn rough ideas into buildable requirements
- Comfort making decisions and standing behind work quality
- Fluency with AI tools and an active perspective on AI's impact on product development
- Security-first mindset
- Ability to work in a high-ownership, collaborative environment with evolving priorities
- Technical curiosity and understanding of systems, workflows, dependencies, prioritization, and downstream impact
