About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help mission users discover approved tools and request access through a clear self-service workspace
- Support the full workflow around enterprise software deployments, including SREs and administrators who configure tools and manage access
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, prototype, test, and refine user-centered solutions for UDS Enterprise
- Conduct UX research and testing to gather feedback, identify pain points, and iterate on designs
- Define product concepts, high-level workflows, micro-interactions, and visual designs for enterprise experiences
- Create and maintain user personas for enterprise users
- Collaborate with developers to design and build intuitive enterprise experiences
- Create and iterate on user flows, personas, user roles, user journeys, and UX/UI artifacts
- Plan iterative UI design improvements
- Develop understanding of disconnected operations, classification boundaries, and DoD operational constraints
- Document UI solutions and contribute to the shared component library
- Ensure seamless cross-product integration with other UDS platform tools
- Develop working understanding of UDS, DevSecOps, IDAM, and highly regulated environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. citizenship required
- Portfolio demonstrating proven product design experience for enterprise software
- 3-5 years of product design experience, including at least 1-2 years designing enterprise software or complex B2B SaaS products
- Experience designing enterprise self-service, multi-tenancy, centrally managed administration, or organization-level governance products
- Proficiency across systems design, UX/interaction design, and visual design
- Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, auto-layout, variables, prototyping, responsive design techniques, and developer handoff
- Understanding of accessibility fundamentals and knowledge of 508 compliance
- Experience facilitating design critiques, remote user testing sessions, and collaborative design sessions
- Experience designing for enterprise users, administrators, SREs, IT teams, platform teams, security teams, or similarly complex user groups
- Experience designing workflows involving tools, applications, services, permissions, subscriptions, or policies
- Comfort with complex information architecture, data-heavy interfaces, system state, auditability, and user permissions
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS utility-first approach and constraints
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including clusters, namespaces, workloads, deployments, and platform operations, or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with identity and access management concepts including SSO, RBAC, groups, permissions, organizations, tenants, and user provisioning
- Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously, resolve dependencies, and work in ambiguous problem spaces
- Experience working remotely/asynchronously with distributed teams across time zones
