About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deploy, configure and update Linux/Jetson and Windows-based systems
  • Work with Docker, Docker Compose and infrastructure tooling such as Terraform
  • Carry out software and configuration updates across edge devices
  • Progressively take on releases for the cloud Recognition Service
  • Act as the first engineering escalation point for Customer Support
  • Use SSH, logs, monitoring and system state to diagnose production problems
  • Resolve common issues and provide findings to senior engineers when needed
  • Automate repetitive tasks and improve monitoring, runbooks and deployment processes
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Customer Support and Sales
  • Communicate technical findings clearly and help colleagues resolve issues
  • Progressively take on more independent operational decisions
  • Participate in an engineering on-call arrangement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in systems administration, DevOps, production operations or a similar engineering role
  • Experience deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting production systems
  • Practical Linux and systems knowledge
  • Strong IP networking fundamentals
  • Hands-on Docker experience, including images, containers, volumes, networking, logs and configuration
  • Understanding of repeatable deployments
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible or similar infrastructure automation tooling
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field
  • Systematic approach to troubleshooting
  • Ownership, sound judgment and care with production changes
  • Curiosity and a collaborative mindset
  • Public cloud experience, Windows administration or Intune, monitoring and observability, and CI/CD and release automation are bonuses
