About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and mature Delinea’s Product Security function and develop capabilities to secure its product offerings
Design and execute a Product Security target operating model incorporating agile and DevSecOps best practices
Build a high-performing Product Security team culture
Partner with Product Development to integrate security and enable developers
Direct analysis, evaluation, and enhancement of Product Security postures
Lead implementation of Product and Cloud Security solutions
Provide strategic and technical leadership for Application Security and Vulnerability Management services
Perform security architecture reviews of applications in design and production phases
Conduct threat modeling and provide risk-based mitigation recommendations
Ensure adherence to vulnerability management processes and SLAs
Lead architects and engineers in understanding current-state architecture and defining target-state architectures and multi-year roadmaps
Anticipate threats, identify architectural weaknesses, and support breach investigations and root cause analysis
Gather and analyze functional requirements and lead proof-of-concept activities
Develop security solutions with partner organizations to enable business strategy
Oversee planning, scheduling, resource allocation, scope, budget, and delivery of Product Security initiatives
Collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT, product, and operations teams to meet regulatory, industry, and security standards
Serve as the primary contact for Product Security inquiries and escalate issues as needed
Drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity processes
Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to executives, stakeholders, and auditors
Participate in customer-facing calls and review customer contracts for Product Security inquiries
Report directly to the CISO

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field
8+ years of relevant experience in Product, Application, and Cloud Security
Up-to-date knowledge of the Product Security threat landscape and industry best practices
Proven track record of solving complex Product and Cloud Security issues using a risk-based approach
Experience establishing Secure SDLC frameworks and evaluating DevSecOps programs
Experience supporting recruiting, technical interview screening, and team development
Ability to innovate and balance business and security needs
Ability to explain and enforce security measures across a broad cross-section of personnel
Effective executive functioning and presentation skills
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, prioritization, and deadline-management skills
Minimal travel (<10%)
Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management principles, and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, GDPR, FedRAMP, and Common Criteria
Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CSSLP, or CCSP are desirable
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
Background in software development
Must be based in the United States
